Her short fiction has appeared in FUTURES, Short Story, Kid’s Highway, Mysterical-e, The Smog, Without a Clue, LoveWords, TRUE SOUL MATES, MORE SLO DEATH, and AND SOME OF THEM ARE DEAD, as well as numerous articles and newsletters. She has also edited two anthologies, co-edited a third, and is a free-lance editor.
She is past president of Sisters in Crime-Central Coast Chapter, and is a member of Sisters in Crime National.
Victoria Heckman has also been a professional performer for over 25 years. She is an actor, dancer, director and choreographer with credits in all mediums: stage, film, television, commercials and music videos. She is trained in tap, jazz, modern, ballet, belly dance and hula, and specializes in period choreography. She has created her own professional theatre and dance companies. She has a BA in Drama & Theatre, with a specialization in Children’s Theatre, from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She currently teaches theatre in middle school and directs youth theatre, and performs with a professional hula halau, Na Mele O Ke Kai. She also directs and choreographs both professionally and in community theatre. |
